Looking for Don Johnson in Miami

Unfortunately I didn't see him speeding in his boat, but Miami was fun anyway.

Jakob's favorite place: the beach, of course!

I love the colorful life guard huts!

With 90 degree a little too hot for me...thankfully, close by was a nice spot in the shade, ha, ha.

My favorite part of the trip: exploring Miami!
Olaf and I took a walk through the Art Deco District in South Beach.

Also very interesting: The Wolfsonian.

We also went to Little Havana.
I loved all the cool wall paintings there!

And the design district... I did not miss this one, lol.

Our family had many nice dinners together. A rare ( though very appreciated) occasion with our 15 year old son.

Four days went so fast...we did not make it to the down town, neither to the Miami Vice building...

In good company

I saw this at the Judy Jetson hair salon in Cambridge, where Jakob and I get our hair cuts. Pretty funny! (though maybe not anymore...).
And he also has an interesting company...

In Connecticut again...

...but only for a short visit. Our friend celebrated her 70th birthday, and we were there!

That the place we started our American adventure, almost 10 years ago...

I am not getting sentimental here, lol...

Celebrating with the New England Revolution

This year Olaf wished to spend his birthday watching a soccer game at the Gillette Stadium.

"Our" team New England Revolution vs Dc United!

The fan curve was not always behaving.

The hot dogs tasted good, obviously... So did the beer!

Somebody here was not very happy about the score: 0:0

Biking along the Charles River

Yesterday I went for my first bike ride in Cambridge.
Temperature: 72 degree!!!
What a day!

Boston in the morning

If you want to experience Boston without the usual tourist crowds, you need to go in the morning ( and not during vacations, holidays, weekends...lol).
That was the first time that I had the Faneuil Hall (almost) all for myself.

At the harbor only the deck chairs were waiting.

I walked alone in the Christopher Columbus Park.

And in the Paul Revere Mall.

There wasn't anybody at the Old North Memorial Garden.

After having my usual snack at Cafe Vittoria.

I was ready for visiting the New England Holocaust Memorial.

The most fun was just walking the streets of Boston and discovering some hidden treasures.
