Beach time for dogs!

With the end of the summer season the public beaches around Boston are open for dogs again.
Joey for sure enjoyed his day at the beach.
So did we!

The Isabella Museum

The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston is a wonderful place. Not only as a Museum, a collection of works of Art, books and letters, but also as a kind of sanctuary.
The building itself reminds of a palazzo in Venice.

One of the highlights, for sure, is the courtyard.

By the way, all Isabellas go for free!

True American: Baseball!

Boston Red Sox vs Yankees at the Fenway Park!
Olaf, Jakob and his friend were there!
One of the requirements to become American...only joking.
By the way, WE won!

Make a difference

I signed up as a volunteer for the American Cancer Society a few weeks ago.
After a small training session I already drove the first patients to/or from their treatments.
It's truly rewarding! The people are so appreciative and thankful that I almost feel ashamed.
For me, it's also a great English and Civics class (lol). Just on time for our American Citizenship test(!)

Soccer and beyond...

This time I accompanied Olaf and Jakob to the Gillette Stadium. for two reasons.
First, New England played vs New York and Jakob wanted to show me one of his favorite players : Pirlo (not from our team..!).

Second, before the soccer game there was also a 9/11 memorial event. I can't believe it's already been 15 years...

I usually don't watch soccer games, but to see "my boys" jumping up and screaming when our team scores, is so worth it!
